well, all last semester i dealt with noisy neighbors. we’re talking BASS-BUMPIN’-i-don’t-even-know-if-it’s-music kind of noise. call me old lady but it honestly gives me a headache. typically, i hit my wall or knock on their door and tell them to turn it down. (in a friendly way of course) this semester, however, i’m already taking a different approach. it goes like this. knock. knock.

hi, yeah, we know it’s loud.-boys
oh don’t turn it down. come to my room.-me
they do. i have them sit in my chairs and try to carry a conversation with me while all of our heads are rattling. then, we laugh. because the vibrating walls are just THAT ridiculous.
this scene just went down with two of my boys..they all have grown on me..
anyway, i accomplish two things: intentional conversation with my boy neighbors and they receive a teaching moment.
